BE PRESENT
with the Feldenkrais Method
"Nothing is permanent about our behavior patterns except our belief that they are so."
— Moshe Feldenkrais

What if you could live in your present moment, fully attuned to your body, emotions, and sensations, while also remaining aware of the people and things surrounding you?

Our minds tend to wander, thinking about the past and future, resulting in diminished focus and heightened anxiety. Achieving centeredness, and embracing the present moment, leads to profound well-being and satisfaction.

Embracing such a state of awareness can have numerous positive effects on your overall well-being:
-
Reduced stress;
-
Improved mental clarity;
-
Enhanced emotional regulation;
-
Increased empathy and connection;
-
Heightened appreciation;
-
Better physical health;
-
Greater resilience.
I want to invite you to BE PRESENT using the Feldenkrais Method.

ABOUT THE METHOD
The Feldenkrais Method is a system of movement education that aims to improve physical function, flexibility, and coordination. It was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, an engineer, physicist, and judo expert. The method is based on the principles of neuroplasticity, which means the brain's ability to reorganize and form new neural connections in response to learning and experience.
The Feldenkrais Method consists of two main approaches:
-
Awareness Through Movement (ATM): In ATM lessons, students are verbally guided through gentle movements. These movements are designed to increase self-awareness, improve movement patterns, and help individuals discover new and more efficient ways of moving.
-
Functional Integration (FI): FI involves one-on-one sessions with a trained practitioner who uses gentle touch and movement to help individuals explore new movement possibilities and release habitual patterns of tension and stress.

If you're seeking a gentle and transformative approach to improve your physical and mental well-being, I highly encourage you to explore Feldenkrais Lessons. Whether you're looking to alleviate pain, enhance your movement abilities, or simply deepen your mind-body connection, Feldenkrais can be a truly rewarding journey.
Remember, it's never too late to start, and the benefits can be life-changing!

In the past, I might have "forced" my body into place, but now it happens naturally after giving attention to it and moving gently.

"Her Feldenkrais classes are presented clearly and calmly, helping us to tune into our bodies and find newness through gentle and subtle movements and positions."
Hi,
My name is Juliana Appel...
...and I want to share with you my passion for the Feldenkrais Method and how it influences, not only my body but also in a way I think. During my career as an actress and my quest for stage presence, I stumbled upon the Feldenkrais Method. Initially, I sought it out as a means to enhance my artistry, but I soon realized its profound depth. Through its teachings, I've come to understand that it offers far more than just artistic enrichment. By cultivating PRESENCE, CONNECTION, and AWARENESS, we gain the capacity to harmonize our emotions and attain self-regulation.
